Big Sky Worship Songwriting Retreats

You are invited to join us for one or both of our worship songwriting retreats. Wether you are a Seasoned songwriter or a beginner, You will learn from our guest pro-writers & co-write several songs with Christian songwriters from all over the country.

What is the camp like? - Camp Trinity is located on Flathead Lake, 2 miles south of Bigfork, Montana on 40 acres of beautiful forest land. WE are most well-known for Our Christ-centered summer camp ministry, but we're also a popular place for retreats & family reunions.  Participants will be housed in cabins with 2-3 Other song-writers per or you can book a private room.  Our restrooms & showers are just steps away from our cabins.

June 2-5, 2019 - Michael Farren

As a songwriter, Michael's work has been recorded by artists such as Michael W Smith; Natalie Grant; New Life Worship; Jaci Velasquez; Big Daddy Weave; Aaron Shust; Tricia Brock; Aaron Crabb; Brian Free & Assurance; Karen Peck & New River; Phillips Craig and Dean; and Lauren Daigle (her recent big hit “Trust In You.”) "I love writing across all genres… CCM, country, southern gospel, etc.," says Farren, who serves as worship pastor at Gateway Church in Franklin, TN. "But writing songs for the Church is what I'm most passionate about.

Aug 28-31 - Stephen & Mary Elise Duncan

Stephen Duncan has worked with hit songwriters Seth Mosley, Jason Gray, Aaron Shust, Unspoken & Matthew West. He’s best known for envisioning & launching Centric Worship & was a part of developing worship songwriters Lauren Daigle & Corey Voss. He travels the country with his wife, Mary Elise, consulting with churches on worship & Ministry Action Plans, & helping churches become healthy in ministry & leadership. He has also taught worship songwriting at Colorado Christian University, the National Worship Leader Conference, & Gospel Music Association Conference

Schedule - Each retreat starts with supper at 6pm on the first day & ends after breakfast on the last day.  Arrival and departure times are flexible.

Can I Stay Longer? - Flathead County is a prime vacation spot in the U.S. and you might want to stay a few extra days before or after your retreat.  The camp is on Flathead Lake, which is the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi, perfect for boating, swimming, and fishing, just 45 miles from Glacier National Park.  Each extra night is $30 per person or $100 for your family in a cabin.  Extra meals are $10 each (when available) or you may go to one of several restaurants 2-3 miles from the camp.

Can my family come? - Yes! They would love the National & state parks, hiking, fishing, fly fishing, golf, art galleries, shops & more!  Contact us for Family rates and availability for housing and meals.

Trains, Planes, & Automobiles - If you fly or take the train, we offer shuttle service for $25 per trip.  The camp is 35 minutes from the airport in Kalispell and 45 minutes from the train station in Whitefish.

  • Flights - There are direct flights to Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) in Kalispell on: Delta, Allegiant, Horizon/Alaska Airlines, United Airlines from 11 major cities including: Seattle, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Las Vegas, Denver, Portland, San Francisco, Oakland, Los Angeles, Chicago & Atlanta.  Anything under $500 is a bargain, but if you wait too long to book your flight, you will easily pay $800 or more. 

  • Train - Taking the train from Chicago to Whitefish, MT is a very scenic & economical option.  If you book early enough, you can go for less than $300.  Sleeper cars are more.

  • Driving - Driving through Montana is scenic & fun, especially if you like to drive fast.  The speed limit on state highways is 70 MPH & the interstate is 80 MPH.

Tell Me More - Camp Trinity has 2000 feet of waterfront on Flathead Lake and 40 wooded acres.   Guests can enjoy swimming, canoeing, kayaking, ‘high’ diving from the dock, evening campfires, hiking and spectacular views from the lakefront area.  Flathead lake is One of the 10 most swimmable lakes in America!

The camp’s location on the largest natural fresh water lake in the west offers a unique experience in both the mountains and on the water. Flathead Lake sits at the heart of the Flathead Valley, just west of the Continental Divide and is surrounded by northwest Montana’s Swan, Salish, Mission, and Whitefish ranges of the Rocky Mountains.

The surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation and sight-seeing. Glacier National Park is known for its history, wildlife and scenic beauty. Less than an hour’s drive from the camp, it offers unparalleled hiking and sight-seeing.
